Female Domination: Empower the Woman in Charge

Women-Led dynamics have always had a significant place in not only historical influences but have had cultural impact as well. From royal dynasties to empirical rule, women have always possessed the ability to stimulate change and sometimes to even incite war. While not the standard hetro-normative relationship construct within what is seen as the "modern" era, women have continued to demonstrate the powerful force of Female Energy and their ability to dominate their partners and their societies. Join Master PlaineJane for a discussion on Female Led Relationships (FLR) throughout history, their effect on cultural and historical norms, and how women have always had the power to change, impact, and influence our community and partners. Master PlaineJane will explore types of domination to include; sexual, mental, physical, financial, and emotional from a Female Master's and/or Dominant's perspective. She will also discuss ways to empower and inspire female energy in relationships, scenes, and as community leaders.

Exploring Dominant Vulnerability

The "Bitch Goddess". The icy, demanding sadist. The "perfect" dominant who can do no wrong. These might be appealing as erotic fantasies, but also may provide concerns around safety, intimacy, connection, and growth in our relationships and play. Intimacy and connection require vulnerability and openness. In this workshop, Darren will discuss dominance as a form of relational and erotic expression and the pressure dominants sometimes feel to be "perfect". Particular attention will be paid to the pressure we place on ourselves and each other to not make mistakes or express the "wrong" feelings. Time will also be spent talking about the ways that perfectionism, gender expectations, and ego can get in the way of intimacy and authentic connection. Tips and ideas for avoiding some of the pitfalls of these challenges and encouraging more vulnerability in our connections will also be provided, with time allocated for questions and contributions from fellow attendees.

(s)he Ain't so Small: Tying More Than Petite Females

Shibari is full of exciting visual images of petite women, tied or suspended in various difficult poses. What happens if your bottom isn’t quite so flexible? If they aren’t so light? This demo class deals with the realities that most of us face - our bottoms ain’t so small or don’t fall into that “feminine ideal” or want to be feminized in that tie? Topics include: modifying our ties for heavier folks, inflexible folks, hair rope on very short hair, suspending heavier people, translating that hot Feminine image to work with other bodies.

Finding, Vetting & Hiring the Right Dominant for YOU

Oftentimes, we hear of dominants and masters placing a potential submissive or slave “under consideration:” this indicating that there is a trial period where the dominant type person gauges suitability and decides whether or not the s-type person is “worthy” of the honor of being owned. But what about the other way around? Is it not also the responsibility of the submissive or slave to ascertain “worthiness,” insure the are giving themselves over to a suitable partner, and ready to take this important step? Finding a good match in the Default World is tough. Adding on the layer of PE (Power Exchange) dynamics can make this a truly overwhelming prospect. It is vital that submissives and slaves take a responsible, clear-eyed approach to negotiation submission and slavery. In this session, we will discuss the role of self-esteem in choosing the best dominant or master for you • What the “Prime Directive” is and what it means to you, • Identifying and maintaining your core identity • Negotiation for mutually assured success.
