Vintage bondage publications such as Kitan club are full of illustrations that show Japanese rope bondage using fibers other than hemp or jute. Osada Eikichi, one of the founders, if not the founder of modern Japanese performance did not use hemp or jute rope.

This class will explore tying a two rope takatekote, and single column ties using nylon and MFP. The class will also discuss modifications of knots and frictions made as a result of the fiber being used.

Three to Four ropes at approximately 8 meters (25-30 ft.) with a diameter of 5-6 mm (1/4-3/8 inches) will be needed.
